Amy + Lindsay // Asheville Intimate Wedding Film

We sat and watched this 3 times in a row back to back, tears streaming down our faces reliving each moment and loving everything you captured!!! I’m so glad you were a part of our day. I absolutely LOVE the film and will recommend you to anyone I know getting married.

Wow wow wow wow.

We are in LOVE WITH IT.
THANKYOU THANKYOU!

Holy Schmoly ya'll...
I feel like I have so few words after sending a couple their film and getting back responses like the one above.
It's hard to explain the PURPOSE and pure JOY I feel from being able to capture a couples relationship and then present it back to them like a mirror that says "Look how badass you two are! Look at how your relationship brings inspiration and beauty to the world! Can you believe how incredibly lucky we are to experience love like this in our lives?"
It's such a gift to be welcomed into people's lives like this.

Amy and Lindsay, I had such a freaking blast celebrating your wedding with you.
So much love on this new journey together as a married couple <3

Junebug Weddings Feature

When making this film of Melissa + Josh I knew I had to express the ferocity of their chemistry. Their love seemed magnetic and passionate. It became more and more obvious each minute we spent with them; When Josh kissed Melissa on the shoulder when buttoning her dress or when Melissa kissed Josh's finger after she placed the ring on it... I spent a majority of the day amazed at how open-hearted they not only were with each other, but with us being around as well. It blew me away. Love isn't something to hide.
Therefore, I wanted to represent the beauty I saw in their relationship as powerfully as I could.. I hope I did it justice.

Check out the feature on Junebug!

Jessica + Christopher

A bit of their story:
Jess and Chris live in Florida, so when they decided to elope they made a grande adventure out of it. They left home before their wedding day, taking their time, stopping at different locations along the way. They went horse back riding, rented a cabin, and enjoyed local hot springs before eventually meeting up with Fox & Owl Studio and us on their wedding day. Wouldn't you know it that it had been beautiful sunny weather every day except the one planned to elope, but we all embraced what was given and made a memory all 6 of us will never forget.
We always embrace the rain.
By the time we finished shooting it was pitch black and they were soaking wet, but they excitedly jumped in their jeep to get take out pizza to celebrate.
Over the next few days they adventured more, going ziplining, blue ridge parkway cruising, and they even got to enjoy some mountain snow!

My 3 favorite things:
-getting dressed in the woods with clothes hanging on branches and rocks
-personal vows handwritten in little booklets
-popping champagne in the headlights of their jeep and passing it around drinking from the bottle

I hope this film makes you dream of blue ridge mountains, picnics, and wine, and then you go and enjoy all those things for yourself. I hope it makes you appreciate love and all it's craziness and beauty and how we find it in the most odd and unexpected places. Because I believe wedding films aren't just about the couple in them, they are stories, inspirations, and reminders.

(Kylie and Jef got married about a week before we put together this styled shoot, so in the end they got to have two weddings together - no better reminder than to live it all over again in a new way!)

3 Reasons to Hire a Wedding Videographer // Evergreen Era Films // Asheville N.C. Wedding Videography

1. Watching a film of your wedding is 100% different than going through your wedding photos.

Think back to the most recent movie you watched - whether in theatre's or on Netflix. Now, imagine only seeing images from the movie - still shots from different scenes. Compare that to watching the full movie, with the music, voices, and motion. They would both be two totally different experiences, right? When you look at still photos you focus in on a moment specifically, which is a beautiful gift. When you watch a film you get wrapped up in a story with all of it's colors, sounds, and progression. It tells you about the characters, the settings, the "why" of it all.

(Unfortuntely we don't live in a Harry Potter world yet, so you can mount your film on the wall like a photo and watch it, but one day we might get there!)

2. You get to see the event through different/creative eyes

Throughout the day there will most likely be a lot of different things as well as emotions occuring. Your mind will have it's own interpretation of each moment, as will your partner, and you will make your own special memories of the day you were married. And those memories will be beautiful. But in reality, there are things you will miss just because you can't be everywhere with everyone, experiencing and looking at everything the whole time. There are things that you can't see from your perspective or moments you may forget. This is one of the joys of what I get to do for couples - to memorialize these moments for you, so that a few months later you can sit down and view your wedding from a different yet still intimate perspective. You film allows you to see some things you missed, as well as re-live the ones you remember and are the most special to you.
Something as simple as the way the wind moved the trees above you as you said your vows to one another, or the joyful & grateful face of your partner whose head is nestled next to yours as you swayed to your first dance together (Something you wouldn't have been able to see on your own).

3. Speaking of Forgetting - You can be reminded of the loving things people say to you.

If you are like me, we easily forget the kind things people say to us. In the moment, our hearts are just beating so fast and we're thinking about how sweet this is and how we never want to forget it while also trying to listen to what they are saying and make sense of it - to feel it deep in our heart. And yet we forget exactly what they said not long after they said it. We just remember how wonderful and encouraging it was. (This is why I have become a note taker).

So when it comes to your wedding, it is no different. You will forget what people said. But what if you could remember their exact words? What if you could remind yourself of the love that surrounds you whenever you need it most - When you're sister gives a speech at dinner, or your father toasts to your marriage; when you write your own vows and say them to your loved one holding back tears; These things are worth remembering. Your videographer gets to help you remember them.
